Cookie policy
Version 1, 6 October 2026. This policy applies to Algia, operated by Huskii VOF, Sint-Barbarastraat 100, 3590 Diepenbeek, Belgium, company number 0689.570.723. Contact: support@algia.be.
In short
- Algia has two parts. The public website at algia.be, and the application at app.algia.be where your diary lives.
- On the public website, measurement cookies from Google are set only if you agree in the cookie banner.
- The application sets only the cookies it cannot work without. It loads no script from another company and asks no cookie consent, because there is nothing to consent to.
- Your health data is never part of a cookie choice. That consent is given separately, in the application.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. The law allows cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Every other cookie needs your consent first.
2. The public website
Our public pages, such as the home page, prices, the blog and these legal texts, set no cookie of their own. The cookie banner, run by Cookiebot, manages the rest:
| Category | What it is for | Without your consent |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remembering your cookie choice (Cookiebot's consent cookie) | Always set, because it records your choice |
| Statistics | Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, counts visits and how people find the site. Its cookies have names beginning with _ga |
Not set |
| Marketing | Google Ads measures whether a campaign led to a registration | Not set |
Before you choose, everything except the necessary cookie is off, and no Google tag runs. The banner shows the full, current list of cookies with their names, providers and durations, from a regular scan of the public website.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the public website. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing.
3. The application
The application, at app.algia.be, has no cookie banner because it sets only what is strictly necessary:
| Cookie | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
Session cookie (__Host-algia-session) |
Keeps you signed in | Ends after 30 minutes without activity, or when you sign out |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects your forms against requests forged by another site | Same as the session |
algia_device |
Remembers that you chose to trust this device, so the second factor is not asked each time | 30 days, only if you choose it |
| Maintenance cookie | Lets the operator reach the site during maintenance | Never set for you |
The application stores nothing in your browser's local storage.
No script from Google, from an advertiser or from any other company runs in the application. A test in our code fails if one ever appears.
4. Reminders
If you turn on reminders, your browser installs Algia's service worker and creates a push subscription for that device. Both are needed to deliver the reminder you asked for, and are therefore strictly necessary under the ePrivacy rules (Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC). The service worker keeps no copy of any page. You can turn reminders off in the application or in your browser at any time.
5. Payment
Paying for Plus happens on Stripe's own pages, outside Algia. Stripe sets its own cookies there, under its own policy.
6. Changes
A new version of this policy gets a new number and date. The privacy policy explains how we handle your data generally.
