Medical disclaimer
Version 1, 6 October 2026. This disclaimer applies to Algia, at algia.be and app.algia.be, and to every summary and export made with it.
In short
- Algia is a diary. It records, shows and exports what you enter.
- It does not diagnose, does not treat and does not advise. It does not replace a doctor, a pharmacist or any other healthcare professional.
- Nobody reads your diary to watch over you. Algia does not respond to an emergency.
- In an emergency, call 112.
1. What Algia does
Algia lets you note where it hurts, how much and how your day went, and your medication if you choose to. It shows that back to you as a diary and as charts, and turns it into a summary you can take to a consultation, or an export of everything.
Algia is not a medical device. It is offered by Huskii VOF as a self-tracking diary.
2. What Algia does not do
- It does not diagnose. Nothing in Algia says what you have or why it hurts.
- It does not treat and does not advise. Nothing in Algia says what to do about your pain or your health.
- It does not interpret. Charts and summaries show your own numbers. They do not explain them, and no sentence in Algia is chosen or worded from what you entered.
- It does not watch. No person and no system follows your entries to raise an alarm.
- It does not replace care. Questions about your health, your pain or your medication are for your doctor, your pharmacist or another healthcare professional.
3. In an emergency
Algia cannot help in an emergency. In Belgium and throughout the European Union, call 112.
4. Medication and reminders
The medication list holds what you typed: the name, the dose and the note are yours, and Algia does not check them, complete them or comment on them. A reminder arrives at the times you chose and only repeats what you set up. It does not say whether to take something, and it is not a substitute for the instructions of the person who prescribed it.
A reminder depends on your device, your browser and the network. It can arrive late or not at all.
5. Summaries and exports
A summary for a consultation contains data you reported yourself. It says so itself. It is meant to support a conversation with a healthcare professional, who decides what it means.
6. The library and the blog
Library texts and blog articles are general and educational. They describe what research and practice say about living with and recording pain, with a named source. They are not about you, and they are never chosen by what is in your diary.
They are drafted automatically with an AI model and checked by a person before publication. Each one says so, with the date it was checked: "Automatically drafted, checked on" followed by the date. A check lowers the risk of a mistake; it does not remove it. A text in the library is no reason to change a treatment.
7. Responsibility
Decisions about your health are taken by you and the people who care for you. Huskii VOF is not liable for decisions about your health taken on the basis of Algia. The terms of use describe our liability in full.
