Questions and answers
The questions people ask before and after they start. If yours is not here, the contact page has an address that a person reads.
Your data
Where is my diary stored?
In Belgium, with our hosting partner, inside the European Union. Diary text and medication details are encrypted with their own key.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes, at any time, free, on every plan. The export contains every entry, region, answer, note and medication you recorded.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, from your own security screen. The deletion is final after thirty days, which gives you time to change your mind.
Privacy
Does anyone at Algia read my diary?
No. The text is encrypted, and the back office shows no diary content. Support happens by email, with what you choose to tell us.
Is there tracking in the application?
No. No analytics, no advertising and no script of another company runs inside the application. The public site uses a consent banner for its own visit measurement.
Paying
How does paying work?
On the pages of Stripe, by card. We receive the confirmation and your subscription status, never your card details.
Can I cancel?
At any time, from the subscription screen. Plus runs to the end of the period you paid for, and the diary then shows the last 30 days again. Nothing is deleted.
What about the 14-day withdrawal period?
You can withdraw within 14 days of starting Plus. You then pay only for the days it was active.
Devices
Is there an app to install?
Algia runs in the browser on a phone, a tablet and a laptop, and can be added to a home screen. Reminders arrive as notifications on the devices you chose.
Does it work without a mouse, or with a screen reader?
Yes. Every screen works with a keyboard and a screen reader, and the body map has a list beside it that says the same in words. Algia meets WCAG 2.2 AA; the accessibility statement has the details.
What Algia does not do
Does Algia interpret my scores or give advice?
No. Algia records, shows and exports. It gives no diagnosis, no treatment advice and no judgement of a good or bad week. That is a deliberate choice and it is written into the medical disclaimer.
Can my clinician log in?
No. There are no accounts for clinicians. You download the summary and decide what to show and to whom.
